Masahisa Kitagawa
President and Chief Executive Officer

Masahisa Kitagawa has served as President of Teikoku Pharma USA (TPU) since co-founding the company in June 1997. Mr. Kitagawa has worked for Teikoku Pharma's parent company in Japan—Teikoku Seiyaku (TSC)—and its subsidiaries for 23 years. At TSC, he held progressively more responsible managerial positions, the most recent as Senior Director of the International Division. Under his leadership, TSC and TPU acquired successful products for the Japanese market, such as Leo Pharma's Dovonex ointment. Mr. Kitagawa remains TSC's Managing Director for research and development and is a member of TSC's board of directors. He received his bachelor's degree from Tokyo University of Science and began his career at Daiwa Chemical Industries.
