Transmucosal
Our transmucosal drug delivery systems allow for rapid drug uptake through mucosal membranes. Benefits include direct absorption and lower dosage requirements. Currently, Teikoku offers two types of transmucosal patches:
Biodegradable Patches
We offer the latest in biodegradable adhesive technology, allowing patches that dissolve following drug absorption for easier administration.
Multilayer Patches
Our multilayer transmucosal patch is a patented patch technology that includes an industry-unique occlusive layer. It allows more drug to be absorbed before natural defenses—such as saliva—clear it away.
