The foundation of his expertise began at the University of Kansas, working with Dr. Takeru Higuchi, the renowned transdermal specialist. Mr. Hibi concurrently worked as a research scientist for Ciba-Geigy (now Novartis) and then worked at TPU's parent company—Teikoku Seiyaku—for several years as its director of research and development. He went on to work for Japan Tobacco's pharmaceutical division, most recently as deputy general manager. Mr. Hibi rejoined the Teikoku Group, bringing 24 years of pharmaceutical research experience and special expertise in pharmaceutical chemistry.
